| WillyBRags  Stealthy Space Wolves Scout New Brunswick, Canada | Well....this might seems kind of stupid but I wanted to try a new plastic glue out and picked up testors....I've since destroyed the packaging and I just can't figure out how to get the darn thing open! I cut the end of enough where you and put the metal piece that comes with it about half way and then it bottoms out...I don't think the stray comes off...I haven't tried too hard yet....does anyone have any experience with this? | |

| AllSeeingSkink  Grizzled Space Wolves Great Wolf | It's been a few years since I last opened a bottle of Testors glue but I don't think there's anything difficult about it, just twist the long cap to expose the metal nib. You shouldn't have to cut it off, you want to make sure it goes back on otherwise the glue will be exposed and your house will stink of glue. It should just come off like so... | |

| WillyBRags Stealthy Space Wolves Scout New Brunswick, Canada | Well I got tired of it and tore it all away, there is a plastic plug inside that you have to shove into the bottle, so the plastic nozzle was it....now I have a bottle of plastic glue and now way to use it....poops....guess I should have kept the instructions... | |

| ronin_cse Deadly Dire Avenger Butte, MT | The one he bought is the testors version which only has a plastic tip, you have to cut off the tip to use it. They say it is an advantage because you can pick how big of an opening to make, but I hated it. The Model Master brand that comes with the metal tip is IMO MUCH MUCH better. I made the same mistake and ordered the testors version on Amazon instead of the Model Master one. Pay careful attention to the picture for anyone else trying to order it. | |

The one in the picture looks like the metal tipped version to me. I thought all the red labelled ones were metal tipped, and the little metal wire they give you is to shove down the metal tube in case it gets clogged. | |

| Arstahd Regular Dakkanaut | I had the same problem years ago when I bought a bottle of the same Testors glue. I couldn't get it to work properly until I found a very long and stiff needle that I managed to force down all the way through the nozzle. It's worked great ever since. I used a round headed straight pin as the "cap". Keeps the nozzle clear and does a good job sealing the hole. After a several year hiatus from the hobby, I was surprised to fine that same bottle fully usable. | |
