Homemade Cocktail Sauce is a must have for shrimp! This recipe is so simple to make with pantry ingredients and so much tastier than store bought.
I learned to make cocktail sauce working in my family's catfish restaurant when I was growing up. We served fried shrimp and cocktail sauce was a must on the buffet. I am sharing my updated version that is simple to make at home.

Ingredients for Cocktail Sauce:
- Ketchup
- Prepared Horseradish
- Lemon Juice
- Granulated Garlic
- Black Pepper
How to Make Cocktail Sauce:
- In a medium size bowl, add ketchup, horseradish, Worcestershire sauce, lemon juice plus garlic and pepper.
- Stir together until well combined.
- Cover and refrigerate until ready to serve.
Double this recipe as needed. This recipe makes just a little over one cup and is perfect for about 2 pounds of shrimp.
How long will cocktail sauce keep?
Store cocktail sauce in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 6 months. Stir before using.
